Last Friday, Just Add Water Street Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
to Take Place on August 25th at Henderson’s Historic Water Street

WHAT: The first-ever Last Friday, Just Add Water Street event kicks off Friday, August 25th at Henderson’s historic Water Street District. The event will open up with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, alongside Henderson Mayor Debra March, Councilwoman Gerri Schroder and Councilman Dan Stewart, and will include a special opening performance by Coronado High School’s Marching Band and Dance Team. With complimentary admission, guests can expect to enjoy a variety of art, live music, street performances and great food. As a presenting sponsor, Las Vegas Weekly will be present to celebrate their past and present Best of Vegas award honorees.

WHO: Last Friday was founded in 2017 as a not-for-profit community event held in the City of Henderson. Initiatives support both the private and public sectors of Henderson for the betterment of sustainable community growth.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The media, sponsors, and donors are invited to attend the special VIP ribbon cutting ceremony.

WHEN: The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 6:00 P.M. with opening comments by Henderson Mayor Debra March and Scott Muelrath. Chef Antonio Nunez will conclude with closing comments to announce the department kick-off by ‘Turning the Water On’ in symbolization of the official launch of Last Friday, Just Add Water Street followed by the inaugural Last Friday free foodie, art, music, and crafts event from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M.
WHERE: Last Friday, JAWS will be held at the Water Street District in Henderson, Nevada, located across from City Hall.

WHY: Last Friday, a not-for-profit event, scheduled to take place on the last Friday of each month in the City of Henderson for the support of local businesses in Southern Nevada. The event is dedicated to bringing the Henderson community together in supporting local businesses in Southern Nevada. Last Friday will benefit three different local charities each month; August charities include the Lion Habitat Ranch, Safe HOUSE, and the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.
