OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE ARTISTS PARTNERS WITH AWARD WINNING PHOTOGRAPHER MARIO BASNER TO CREATE CONTEMPORARY ART
Artists from Opportunity Village have been developing their interpretations of Mario Basner’s fine art collection, which are now on display at the World Heritage Collection at Tivoli Village.

Artists from the nonprofit organization Opportunity Village visited the Mario Basner Gallery at Tivoli Village where they were inspired by the intricate details, depth, and dimension of his World Heritage Collection. Since visiting, the OV artists have been developing their interpretations of his pieces, which are now on display in the gallery.
The Opportunity Village Fine Art Program was created to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is a progressive visual arts program that encourages artists to discover their artistic talents. “It has been an incredible experience to tour the Opportunity Village Fine Art Program,” says Mario Basner. “I am so impressed with the fruits of this program, and I am honored to inspire and support this fantastic charity.”
Echoes of Inspiration is the exhibit theme behind the collection of pieces created by the OV artists. “The Opportunity Village Fine Art Program is so excited for the community partnership with Mario Basner and his World Heritage Collection,” says Sarah Quinn, Fine & Performing Arts Manager at Opportunity Village. “This collaboration has given our artists access to new mediums, and a chance to explore something unique. They have been inspired by the photography in Mario’s gallery and have been diligently working to create their interpretations. They can’t wait to share their completed works with the community!”
